Our October Book Club pick is The Witches of Cambridge by Alice Hoffman

Meetup: Monday, November 2 @ 7:00pm
Location: Lit Wine & Books – 321 Hurontario St

The Book:
Alice Hoffman has lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts, since the 1970s, so the setting of her new novel is her own backyard. The book follows Ava and Lauren, two students at Radcliffe College in the 1950s who are drawn into a secret society of witches. Hoffman says of its origins: "I went back to school at Harvard and what began as my term paper ended up as a novel about witches, love, magic, sorrow, betrayal, sisterhood and best friends."

Come ready to talk about trust, friendship, and what it costs to be a woman with power in a world that fears her.
